In my earlier two posts, I described how I decided to try the Facebook ‘Boost Post’ option to bring a YouTube video to the attention of more people (hopefully). I spent £7 on it! So, what was the outcome? Well, when the £7’s worth of boost had been exhausted, I got a message from Facebook saying that another £2 could extend the reach by another few thousand (I can’t remember the exact number). I thought that £2 would be worth the investment, and I went for it. So my total spend was now £9. And my reach number for this post went up to……………..24,491. That’s an astounding figure compared to my un-boosted posts. However, getting down to the nitty gritty, there is also an ‘engagement’ figure, which was 57 (the number of people who liked, commented, shared or clicked on the post). The links in my post were clicked on 28 times, my video was played 24 times, and my post was liked 2 times. There were two comments made, as well, but one of those was someone posting an advert (not even music-related!) on my post. So, was the £9 value for money? Let me know what you think.
