So, we were running Chkdsk on my Dad’s computer the other day (hello Dad!), and that takes a-g-e-s to run. Luckily for me, though, he’s got a Casio Privia PX-300 piano on the desk in front of his computer screen. So what better way could there be for me to while away the time, than clicking through the built-in rhythms (there’s about 120 of them!) and playing whatever came to mind for each one. I had a go at Red Red Wine, I Just Called To Say I Love You, Fields Of Gold, So Lonely, etc. Then….rhythm number 21 was selected – a true disco-fest. What else could I do but strap on my roller skates (in my mind, anyway) and release the inner Gloria I didn’t know I had! Damn…I Will Survive (I hope the computer does too!).
